The power of believing is sometimes overlooked by the best of Christians. We let other things distract us and cause us to worry about things we shouldn’t be worried about. I have a few friends, Christian friends, who do this when it comes to Endtime prophecy. And I do sometimes as well.
Even in just a few weeks of end time prophecy searching and researching I find myself getting anxious. I’ve already had to slow down and remind myself that I belong to God and that I am securely in his hands.
Things that cause me worry are the friends and family that I know, who haven’t received the love and grace of God. In my last post, I linked a video that talks about aliens, angel/human hybrids, and other strangeness that may come upon the world. I worry that my friends and family might be deceived. I love my friends. I love my family and pray for them.
I take comfort that God loves them even more than I do. He is able to protect and deliver all of those I care for.
I am not fearful. My confidence rests squarely on His ability to be God. He is the Almighty; the King of kings; the creator of the heavens and the earth, and nothing compares to Him. I believe in Him like never before. And that is enough to settle my heart, squash my fears, and allow me to walk in faith. That is the power of believing.
This is where I live:
For through the law I died to the law so that I may live to God. I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So the life I now live in the body, I live because of the faithfulness of the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. I do not set aside God’s grace because if righteousness could come through the law, then Christ died for nothing! (Galatians 2:19-21)
If you are one who has spent all your time worrying about the end-times, and you’re fearful and worried, take some time and remember that God loves you. He went so far as to send the Son of God to secure you in His love through His death and resurrection. You are in Jesus Christ and joined at a level so deep that nothing can touch you. You can trust Him to keep you and your family and friends, because, this is the power of believing.
