Will the Lord have mercy on the world? I mean it’s people; Those who don’t know the scripture or go to church; or those who think they understand scripture but don’t; the many “prophets” predicting doom to the world; those hoping for the rapture. I’m always thinking about these things.

If you have your finger on the pulse of the Internet, YouTube, various podcasts, and websites, then you have probably heard or read that something catastrophic is supposed to happen on or around September 21-23. I have heard things from financial disaster for the world to nuclear attacks in various cities in the United States.

I personally rest my hope on the Grace of God, Jesus the Christ. The one whom I believe lives in and with me. I have not heard anything in my spirit about disaster and doom. Yet I know that there are prophecies in the scripture that seem to spell out catastrophe for the earth, including financial failure, death, and destruction.

Personally, I don’t know whether some of those things are supposed to be taken literally or symbolically. I am not afraid to admit that. I am also not afraid to say that there are certain ways of life, and actions, and behaviors that should be called what they are, sin.

I believe God is love and that He forgives sin, but, I will not pretend that it’s okay to live a sinful life. Sin is destructive and harmful. Whether you know it or not sin in your life is killing you in some way. It may not seem like it. It may not even seem to you like you have sin or anything in your life that needs to change. However, we all do. I do not believe any man or woman is without the ability to know right from wrong. So your heart and conscience is your guide.

I am not your judge. I don’t want to be because I don’t want to be judged by any of you for my sin. Yes, I have sin in my life. There are things that I am ashamed of, and habits that I have not been able to stop, YET! My sin is just as bad and destructive as anyone else’s. The Lord has forgiven my sin and yours. However, my life has begun a change as result. As I hear within my heart from the Spirit of the Lord that I am loved and forgiven I am strengthened in my resolve to live free of sin.

You may say you don’t believe in my God, but He believes in you, and he wants you to be free of your sin too. He has already made your reconciliation a reality, but if you do not choose to believe this reality, it never becomes real for you. He will not force you.

I don’t think I need to, nor does it do any good to point out anyone’s sins. We all have them. As I’ve said, you have your heart and your conscience. I just ask sincerely that you consider the fact that the Lord loves you. He is merciful. He is able to deliver you from whatever habits or behaviors, in other words, SIN you may be trapped in. Simply ask. Believe in His Son, Jesus.

“I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him.” (John 14:6-7)

Think about your life and think rebellion through. One day you will come face to face with this God I am talking about. He is not Obama and he is not the Pope. He is the true God and his Son Jesus Christ. We all have an appointment with him, face to face one day soon; even the Pope and Mr. Obama. Will you be ready? I hope so. The Lord hopes so. Hear me, people. Our time is here and there is no escaping.
