Seek the Lord while he makes himself available, call to him while he is nearby! The wicked need to abandon their lifestyle and sinful people their plans. They should return to the Lord, and he will show mercy to them, and to their God,  for he will freely forgive them. Isaiah (55:6-7)

It does not matter where you are in life. It does not matter what you have done. No matter how bad you think you have been, or know that you have been, God is able and willing to forgive you. He has wiped out your sin and given you life. All you have to do is turn to Him and trust Him. Repent (change your mind about God). Let the love of God, that has been poured out in your heart, begin to change you. In Christ Jesus, you are the righteousness of God. There is nothing you can do to become righteous because, in Christ, you already are; no amount of good works can get you there. It is only in Christ that you will find your place in God. All you have to do is believe.

You may wonder why God would be willing to do such a thing for mankind. The answer is Love. Here, is just one of many promises from the scriptures…

For this is the way God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world should be saved through Him. (John 3:16)

God loves us. Plain and simple. The scriptures say that Jesus is the lamb, slain before the foundation of the world. (1Pet 1:18-20) In other words, God knew before he created the world that his Son would enter into the creation in order to join God and man forever. The Son of God coming here was always the plan. Adam’s sin just made it a more difficult task for the Lord. But is anything too hard for Him?

He was treated harshly and afflicted, but he did not even open his mouth. Like a lamb led to the slaughtering block, like a sheep silent before her shearers, he did not open his mouth.

He was led away after an unjust trial – but who even cared? Indeed, he was cut off from the land of the living; because of the rebellion of his own people he was wounded.

They intended to bury him with criminals, but he ended up in a rich man’s tomb, because he had committed no violent deeds, nor had he spoken deceitfully.

Though the Lord desired to crush him and make him ill, once restitution is made, he will see descendants and enjoy long life, and the Lord’s purpose will be accomplished through him. (Isaiah 53:7-10)

Because Adam had plunged man into darkness, man did not even recognize the Son of God when he arrived. So we attacked him and tried to discredit him. When that didn’t work we convicted Him in an unjust trial and sentenced Him to death by the cross.

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. (Matthew 7:21-23)

Notice in the verse above how the “good works” listed by those Jesus refers to as, “ye that work iniquity,” does not save them. All you need to do to experience the salvation of the Lord is believe. In Christ, you are made righteous. You are loved by God. He will never turn you away. Just as all of mankind was in Adam, and subsequently in sin, so now, all of mankind is in Jesus Christ, and subsequently made righteous.

Many don’t realize that after Jesus rose from the dead He was still a man. He had a resurrected body, but, still a man. I am not trying to diminish who He is. He was the son of God before the incarnation. He was the son of God during His life on earth, and when He rose from the dead He was still God. However, when he was incarnated, he also became a man.

Everything is held together in Christ. (Colossians 1:17) That means that whatever happens to Him, happens to the creation; including us, mankind. And right now there is a Man/God seated at the right hand of the Father. Scripture says…

And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus..(Ephesians 2:6)

You can trust in God. He has made us all safe through his Son, the God-Man. Simply believe in Him. He is trustworthy. Watch how this changes the life in you.
