So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. (Roman 10:17)

I have been hearing a lot of chatter on the internet. There is a lot of talk about FEMA camps or concentration camps, loss of rights in the U.S., talk of declining morality, talk of marshal law being inflicted upon the American people in the event of a total collapse of our economy, even on this site I have written about persecution of the church and provided some video. I am not saying that these things may not happen, but, to dwell on these things so much could cause one to act out in an extreme manner.

I have never read in the bible where God tells Christians to store up food and guns and hide out in the mountains somewhere, though, I believe at some point Christians may have to go underground as we are continually accused of being intolerant of others, and at the same time becoming less tolerated by the world. Anyway, how long do you think you could last hiding out in the woods with only so much food and water?

I suppose any number of the things I mentioned above could happen in the U.S., but, I believe God has a plan for His people. Most people are hoping for a rapture of the church before such things happen. What if that is not what’s going to happen? HOW IS YOUR FAITH?

What if at some point the U.S. government decides that it needs to implement marshal law, whether justified or not, what will you do if the church has not been raptured? What if it’s just the Christians and so-called right winged extremist that are rounded up and put into these camps? Will you escape? Can you escape? And if so, for how long? If God has a plan for you to escape, do you know what it is? How is your faith? Do you spend enough time in prayer seeking His will? I know I don’t. I am trying though.

I guess my point is this, Christians, at least those I see writing on the internet, are freaking out. Don’t get me wrong. I do believe we are in the last days. I also believe God has a plan. I believe the church will get raptured but not sure when. As people of God, we don’t need to focus so much on what is going on in the world. It is good to stay up with what’s happening I agree. However, we need to be focused on God and His Word. We need to be in prayer. We need to be obeying God’s law (Torah) to the best of our ability. He is and should be our focus. I believe if we do that He will take care of us.

Will we go through some tribulation? It’s possible. Joseph did. The people of Israel did. The early Christians did. Paul and Peter certainly did. Daniel spent a good portion of his life in captivity. Paul was in captivity the last years of his life. Stephen was stoned to death for his testimony. The stories of these people are written in God’s Word for our benefit. Perhaps to teach us how we should handle such situations. A lot of the people I mentioned died while in captivity. Does that mean they were not delivered? I say they were delivered in their circumstances though they were not delivered out of them. They kept their faith.

Again, ..Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17).

Let His Word prepare you for whatever may come. Be in prayer and commune with Him that he may strengthen you. He is a deliverer. He begins the 10 commandments with this…

“I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.”

Does this apply to you and me? Just substitute the word Egypt with sin. He sent His Son Jesus to do just that. When He died it was for you and your deliverance. If you believe that Jesus died for your sin you have been delivered, redeemed, purchase at a very high price. If God was willing and able to deliver you then, He can do it now no matter what is going on in the earth.
