Since President Trump took office there has been lots of talk and speculation about his role in end-time prophecy. There is always a lot of speculation about the end-times after a presidential election. I can’t tell you how many people seemed to believe that President Obama was the anti-Christ himself.
During the election in 2016, there were many who seemed willing to swear on their very lives that Obama would somehow find a reason to declare martial law in order that he might suspend the presidential election to remain in power. I didn’t think he was a particularly good president, but he certainly didn’t qualify to be the anti-Christ. And like any other presidents, he was more than ready to leave office when the time came.
Let me state now that I did not vote for Donald Trump. However, you won’t hear me accusing him or anyone else of being the anti-Christ. I don’t know of anyone else who has called him the anti-Christ, but Trump is not qualified either.
I haven’t spent much time thinking about end time prophecy. I just haven’t had any luck understanding or making sense of it. There are some things I think I understand, but not enough to be telling people what I think is going to happen in the future.
In my last post, God’s Chosen President, I talked about how there is no one in power or authority unless it is ordained by God. Here, because of what one prophecy teacher is saying, I want to talk about the reason God might have chosen Donald Trump to be president.
Endtime.com with Irving Baxter is the prophecy teacher I am speaking of. According to Baxter the United States is identified in the prophecy of Danial 7:4, in the first beast of a dream he had.
The first was like a lion, and it had the wings of an eagle. I watched until its wings were torn off and it was lifted from the ground so that it stood on two feet like a human being, and the mind of a human was given to it (NIV).
Baxter’s interpretation says that the lion is Great Britain and the wings that were torn off are the United States because we were born out of Britain. There were some other animals in Danial’s dream that are said to represent other nations to be present during the last days.
The beasts are mentioned again in Revelation 13 as a combined beast that Baxter says is a representation of the nations that will be a part of the one world government. Conspicuously missing are the eagle’s wings that were a part of the Lion in Daniel 7. Baxter believes the Eagle’s wing represents the U.S., whom he believes will assist Israel during the great tribulation.
When the dragon saw that he had been hurled to the earth, he pursued the woman (Israel) who had given birth to the male child (Jesus). The woman was given the two wings of a great eagle, so that she might fly to the place prepared for her in the wilderness, where she would be taken care of for a time, times and half a time, out of the serpent’s reach (Rev 12:13-14, parenthesis add by me).
If Baxter’s interpretation is correct, and if we are approaching the time of the end leading to Armageddon, then the United States will not be a part of the one world government which prophecy seems to indicate will be present. The United States not being a part of that system would be, largely because President Trump does not seem to be so keen on recognizing the United Nations, the only organization present that could maybe morph into a world governing body, as legitimate.
On the other hand, had Hillary Clinton won the presidency, whom I voted for, she would be in authority over the U.S… Hillary Clinton and President Obama were clearly motivated to move us closer to globalism. In fact since Ronald Reagan, and maybe before him even, our presidents have been moving us closer and closer to being part of the larger global society.
Having said all this, if we are approaching the time prophecy teachers refer to as the time of the end, then I am glad that President Trump is at the helm. For reasons he probably isn’t even aware of Trump has been placed by God to play his role in this hour. I still don’t like him or think he is any more of a believer than Hillary Clinton or Barack Hussein Obama, but whatever he is will serve the purposes of the Lord, whatever they may be.
I personally would be very excited if we were indeed approaching the end time scenario. I long to see the Lord return to the earth and begin to set things right. I am not one who believes that.. well I won’t go there right now. I don’t actually believe what most people believe is happening at the end. Till next time.
All Presidents, officials will do the will of God. Not that they necessarily believe or accept Christ, but are nothing more than tools. Christ himself doesn’t know the 12th hour, but he stresses to be ready. He also stresses not to worry. Obama moved this world closer to a one world government. The Anti-Christ, no one knows, which is why it is so important to have a relationship with Jesus.

Great post, except Christ does know.

Yes, you are right, God ordains those in authority and His word is one day going to come to pass. We all play a part in the “Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” Trump, or Obama, or Hilary are no exceptions in the plan. Mr Trump seems to be the only one who believes his Presidency is God’s will. One interesting thing about Trumps’ appointments, when I researched on them, many are devout Christians.

An interesting take. While we may differ in some political views, I believe God’s Word, and those that bless Israel well be blessed, those that curse them well be cursed. President Trump has, at least initially, come out of the gate in strong support of Israel. I do not know, nor do I pretend to know the spiritual condition of his heart, but throughout the ages God has used both good and evil leaders to accomplish His will.

I totally agree man. I hope that at some level he is a believer. At any rate he is the President and deserves to have people praying for him. He is OUR leader whether we voted Trump or Clinton.

In the end, I did indeed accuse the man of being THE anti-christ. For sure, I believe he is an anti-christ. There is nothing Christ-like about this man.
